A Star in My Collection
I’ve been extremely pleased with this JoWo #6 18k gold nib. The nib itself has the smoothness and feel I was hoping for from 18k gold, but the custom work performed by Kirk Speer at Pen Realm is what turned it into something genuinely special.
This wasn’t simply a nib purchase it was an investment in having a nib tailored to exactly what I wanted. Between the 18k gold nib, the custom grind, and the craftsmanship involved, there was certainly time, effort, and expense involved. After writing with it, I can say it was absolutely worth all three.
I own and use a number of quality fountain pens and nibs, and this one has become a star in my collection. It has its own personality and provides a writing experience that a standard factory nib simply doesn’t offer.
Excellent work by Kirk and Pen Realm. I would not hesitate to have another nib customized by him.
Nib unit and architect grind have made my Stanford studios fountain pen a favorite in my collection! Kirk’s work is always stellar!! Thanks Kirk and Pen Realm!!
Beautiful nib with another amazing grind from Kirk Speer. Lovely!!
Absolutely gorgeous and lovely nib!! I got a round nosed cursive italic grind and Kirk did a wonderful job! I put this nib on my special, favorite pen. I’m so happy Pen Realm offers the rhodium plated option as it’s so pretty!! I highly recommend!
