Bolide is inspired by the brilliance of a celestial object crossing the night sky, using sweeping mother-of-pearl bands and subtle crimson flecks set into deep black Vietnamese lacquer. The finish is built over a natural wood core through repeated lacquer applications, curing, and hand polishing.
The shell inlay shifts through silver, green, blue, pink, and violet tones as the pen moves, creating a sense of motion and light. Hand placement of the shell and lacquer details ensures every Bolide carries its own unique variation.
