The explosively original Homo Sapiens collection is crafted in lava sourced from the active volcano, Mt. Etna. A patented formula of pure basaltic lava catalyzed with resin creates an extraordinary material that is perfect for writing instruments – it’s virtually unbreakable, resilient, flameproof and hygroscopic to absorb moisture from your hand. The surface is surprisingly warm and comfortable – making it a great everyday writer. The clip, rings and trim on the Dark Age are PVD plated in rare, wear resistant ruthenium.
